    Xerox M15I Workcenter

end user states that when copying through auto document feeder the print quality comes out slanted and wiggly. when copying on the glass the print quality is fine. now i have not sent a tech on site to verify which part of the adf this could be but the end user states that she has cleaned the adf rollers. my question is could it be the lower adf assy (600n01740) or the upper adf assy (022n01482) the total adf is about 400 dollars and the lower adf assy is around 95.00 so the lower would be a better bet to go with however im not sure that will work. any suggestions?

Usually if you just clean the entire unit, rollers, one motor and one clutch it takes care of the issue, I have never had to replace the whole ADF and had 200 in the field at one point

      possible cracked hinge

ask the customer if the feeder lays completly flat when he closes it somtimes it does not close right on one of its ends so that would be a broken hinge problem.

its not a hinge issue. but the rollers have been cleaned several times i dont believe the motor has been cleaned. what kills me is how emuch money a new adf top is for this thing. its around four hundres dollars
