Re: Scanning Issue with Xerox Phaser 3635 and Win 10 ver 1830
Hi Thanks for replying but,
SMB 1.0 /cifs client and server both turned on.
I have the latest firmware from Xerox software support (Not sure what versions of SMB it covers)
ThanksComment

Re: Scanning Issue with Xerox Phaser 3635 and Win 10 ver 1830
on new user created it was a local user account that was setup. on share folder check security tab to see if user is there and has full permission. i have that happen and it would not scan info. into folder. if you create user in address book on copier can you browse to computer and does it ask for user name and password. one other question is this a work group or domain networkComment

Re: Scanning Issue with Xerox Phaser 3635 and Win 10 ver 1830
Share is set properly, so are permissions. Full access when coming in from another computer.
I think it's a security issue with Microsoft. I tried using the "Scan to Folder" with a HP 8600 MFP and it failed.
However after I updated the firmware on the HP it through fine.
If the HP can scan to the folder, in my mine that elimanates all the Sharing, permissions, and security on the PC side.
Just for grins though I am going to try and scan to a FTP site, that I will setup in windows 10, to see if that gets around it.Comment

the 3635 is an ancient box now, can't remember the last time a new firmware came out, i wouldn't hold my breath Xerox addressing this any time soon for this box.Comment

You know and I know it's a ancient box.
But all the customer knows is they paid over $2000 for the machine, and want it to work!
Like I said I will try some work arounds, FTP, scan to email, scan to thumb drive, etc.Comment

Re: Scanning Issue with Xerox Phaser 3635 and Win 10 ver 1830
This is what I do to all my old Xerox machines using SMB 1 for scanning...
it works all the time...
To enable or disable SMBv1 on the SMB server or PC,
configure the following registry key:
Registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\LanmanServer\Parameters
Registry entrycall it) SMB1
1-RIGHT CLICK; select - DWORD
2- NAME REGISTERY - SMB1
3- REG_DWORD: 1 = Enabled
RESTART PC TO WORK
If still does not work- setup FTP..Comment
