There is no warranty, per se, other than the main machine's warranty. Since you asked about the Phaser, that is a retail product, so the 1yr warranty from date of activation is what you'd be looking at. For the equivalent machines in the copier (maintenance agreement) line, that'd be the WorkCentre 74xx series. The WorkCentre 75xx and WorkCentre 78xx are also extremely similar, and the assembly may be compatible (I don't have the details in front of me) but the developer material and toner are slightly different. The WC74xx is EA-HG toner, and the WC75xx and WC78xx are EA-Eco toner. The developer matches the toner. But the WorkCentre 74xx is the direct sibling of the Phaser 7500.

As for its life, provided there have been no bad toner problems (heat damaged, or more commonly, generic toner which you should never use, they don't work) you should be able to get at least 200k prints out of it. The developer material in it may fail before the hardware itself fails. The developer material can be replaced, but the assemblies are relatively cheap, so it may be in your interest to start fresh with a new assembly and new material, especially since it saves you the messy step of cleaning out the old assembly.

Xerox States 300K for developer life on that machine (Phaser 7500)

I personally agree with "Caffiene". I chnaged out all four developers and housings on
a customer at 200K because they were not happy with print quality.

It really depends on how fussy your customers are about print quality?

But the cost is not that cheap, each delveloper and housing is roughly $200.00

So for 4 of them $800.00 plus labor, makes it in the $1000.00 range
