    wc 3655 pagepak question

picked up a couple of these and installed metered toner to test them and they call the metered toners invalid. see the machine has pagepak as supplies option. i assume that pagepak means NO metered supplies, does that also mean that if i use retail supplies that it will work or am i up against xerox on this? thanks-- tuey

i do believe you have to use pagepak or call xerox for a new supply code for retail supplies.

i looked at the other 3655 today and it has retail supplies in it and is not designated page pack on the config page, the other one obviously does. the page pack machine has less than 500 pages on it and for a reasonable amount of money i would probably convert it. i don't mind converting metered toners to retail-just the cost of the chip. have you ever seen the page pack toners for sale? do they have a reorder number? thanks- tuey
