[Misc] Can't enter diagnostic

I have a xerox Dc250 I can't enter diagnostic mode when I press 0 then start it ll bring me to were I put the 6 7 8 9 password but when I press confirm its not responding it ll hang but if I try to put any other password it ll say incorrect and I can cancel and type in another password but when I try 6 7 8 9 it ll hang until power off what could be the problem

I had similar problem but my screen would go black.
Believe it or not, ended up swapping over the power supply and fix it.
