    Fault 191-310 WC 6027

    Good morning good techs,
I am having a problem with a Xerox work center 6027. The device was functioning when I went to the call. The customer called about a copy quality issue, light yellow background. I noticed a message on display that the machine is in continuous printing and I could not find the drums to check condition of yellow drum. what I found is that I could turn off the continuous printing. I thought by doing this I could see what the fault is. So I turned off continuous printing and immediately the device went into the fault condition with a code 191-310. Now the device is not doing anything and can not figure out how to turn on continuous printing and can not find this code and what it means.
    I need some help please.

Thanks Howling, how do you return the values? When I power on machine it goes into fault and I can not do anything.

Don't waste any more time on this one. These are basically disposable printers. You can purchase one for under $200.

The Xero dev belt assy is not spared and even it was:
          A) It would probably cost as much as a new machine. (the belt alone, not the whole assembly, is around $130! BELT TRANSFER 064K 93751)
          B) It would take HOURS to replce if you could get one.
          C) There's no CRUM on it and I don't see any counter reset for it.

We've been told that if the issue is anything more than maybe cleaning the glass, ADC sensors, or LED slit glass, to consider it dead. You'd be crazy to spend another minute on it.

Not to mention... It goes directly into an error when powered-up, you cant even get into the menus to to try an NVM reset or other diagnostics.

IF YOU REALLY NEED TO TRY A HAIL MARY, TRY THIS: (Good luck)

            Service Diagnostics (CE Diags)
Using CE Diags with the Phaser 6020
The Phaser 6020 printer has diagnostic testing built into the Windows printer software
installed off the packaging CD\DVD or downloaded from the Xerox website to test
electromechanical components, display printer status, and provide some NVRAM access. Use
these tests to diagnose problems and isolate which component needs replacement.
If confronted with an error that requires more than a cursory investigation to clear, or when
directed by a troubleshooting procedure, use the diagnostic tests to exercise selected subassemblies
or parts in the vicinity of the reported error.
Two versions of the CE Diags Tool are available. One for the Phaser 6020, and another for the
Phaser 6022 and WorkCentre 6025/6027 MFP.
            USB
            11. Click [OK] to close the program.
            12. Click on the printer settings utility icon in the Windows Task Bar and click Close in the dialog box at
            the bottom right.
