I have a Police department that is replacing a Xerox WC5335. The IT guy is wanting to wipe the hard drive can anyone here give me a play by play to get this done for them.

if he wants to wipe the data completely then your only option is drill a hole in the hdd cause nowadays even if you format the hdd there is still data that can be retrieved using a software data retrieval. -

FIPS140-2 Data Encryption
All data stored on and transmitted by the printer is encrypted.
By default, the printer deletes and overwrites each job three times after it finishes
processing.
