[Misc] SMB ScanningXEROX 5865 - Invalid Path Specific: 445 v. 139 (Port #) needs to change?

    WINDOWS 10

Step1: Scan user account created (administrative rights; password; etc.)
Step 2: "SCANS" FOLDER CREATED: (on desktop; properties, advanced, shared, permissions, added, locations, SCANS checked, assigned full permissions, apply/ok, Security tab; added, check names, populated, modified for full permissions, etc.)
Step 3: IP Network IPV4 address noted.
Step 4: Scan Tab on Centreware - (Template name; scan destination; friendly name SCANS, SMB, IP Network IPV4 address entered, Share name "SCANS", Login Name and password, etc.) - ADD

    I WONDER if 445 v. 139 (Port #) needs to be changed in IPV4?

Not sure what I am doing wrong. When I try to scan to folder says - Invalid Path Specific!

I set up folder scan folder on local PC and followed instructions (albeit for Windows 7)
Exactly like instructed (WorkCentre 5865/5875/5890 Videos)

Take your laptop, get on same network as the 5865, and shared folder machine.

Make sure you can login, read and write to that shared folder with the same name and password you have on the 5865.

Report back. Also report firmware version. Computer Operating System and version (i.e. Windows 10 Ver 1803)

what v of SMB are you trying to use?

Win10 blocks out SMB1 completely and it is NOT recommended to reinit v1 due to malware issues. (plenty of threads on SMB1 / Win10 )
