xerox 6180MFP fails to start - error code 117-363

My Xerox 6180MFP fails to initialize, immediately upon start up displays the following message:

117-363
Restart Printer
Contact Suipport
If Message Returns

I was able to enter firmware update mode from front panel at startup and successfully updated firmware.
I was able to enter service mode from front panel at startup and print a test page, also clear all NVM.

Still get error code at startup. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I ran Xeroxfwup from the laptop and 6180 responded that firmware update was successful. Is this not the same thing?
If not, please direct me to "described in SM", as I don't understand this comment.

altboot is special firmware loaded from a USB thumbdrive.

IN EVERY FUCKING MANUAL THERE IS AN ALTBOOT PROCEDURE.

I KNOW IT WORKS WITH 6180... DONE SEVERAL

either:

you don't have the service manual

too lazy to search the manual properly

want someone else to do your work for you.

This is the service manual that I have., perhaps it's not complete but I did the search to no avail.
No, I'm not a trained tech. If that is the criteria for belonging to this group then again I apologize and will promptly check out.
I have been a trained luthier (one who repairs/restores violin family instruments) for well over 40 years and am always willing to help those who have significantly less experience than myself. I hold a degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and am well versed in electronics and computer repair, just don't have a lot of experience in copier repair.
So, sorry if I have annoyed you or wasted your time.
