7535 or 7355 magenta toner not being recognized

Hey guys,

Machine started having magenta toner halfway across the page... then the magenta add toner light came on and the customer replaced it with another genuine toner and that's when the machine would no longer recognize the toner cartridge..

I don't know anything about this particular machine but I looked at it myself and tried to pull out and reinsert the cartridge several times.

Any ideas?

There is no 7355 that I know of so It's probably a 7535.
Most often cause for single color streaks is a bad drum unit for that color. As far as not seeing the toner, they may have inserted the wrong type. There is Metered and Non Metered toners. Metered is what you get directly from Xerox and Non Metered is what you buy from a retailer. If they were using non metered and then purchased metered toner from a seller on ebay or some place, it won't work in their machine.
