    Restore Xerrox 7556

I recently bought a Xerox 7556 copier, my kid pressed some button and printed all the papers in the copier. I decided to remove the guest user and lock the copier down so my kids can not play with the copier when I lock the copier down, the results is that I am not able to print from the Xerox workplace app, and can not print from my computer, I tried to " factory restore" from the admin setting, and nothing was reset. I called Xerox; they recommended the techs that service the machine, and I called the company that serviced the copier, and they can not help me due to Covid-19. What is the best option to have my copier back to factory settings?

I had same issue. Tech support charged me $25 cause my service agreement expired last month. They need your copier serial number and copy count to generate a 12 digit reset number. They will talk you thru how to enter the number to reset your admin password to 1111.

I look in the first tray their was a compartment that had a cover for the USB and the printout before they sold this machine. I tried pressing a 2+ Stop+energy saver, and nothing happened, and I am assuming I do not have this software key.

I thought if someone has a clean clone for xerox copier, and I can install the clean one to my current version to make it factory settings. Would that work?

Resetting the Printer to Factory Default Settings
            1. At the printer control panel, press the Machine Status button, then touch the Tools tab.
            2. Touch Device Settings > Reset UI to Factory Settings.
            3. Touch Restart.

above steps confirm delete all previous data and return to factory default settings.

If your not a tech Don't Factory reset any printer.
There are a lot of settings that will be cleaned and without in putting all the correct setting for your particular machine you will have a lot of issues..
If you have turned off guess you now need to enable or unlock print and copy in the admin mode.
