xerox color 550 overwrite hard disk

When I run overwrite hard disk on this Xerox Color 550 it restarts immediately without doing anything.

I logged in as administrator and the machine let me go to security settings - overwrite hard disk and start the process.

Usually a Xerox will take a couple of hours to do the process and print out a report. It was set to do 3 overwrites.

How do I get the machine to do the overwrite and not simply restart?

I'm trying to get this machine cleared of all customer data for lease return.

In UI service mode is there a way to clear all data? I can get in but don't see a way to do anything.

I found out how to delete all data in service diagnostic mode.

If anyone knows of a data sanitization report I would like to get one.

Our salesmen ask for this stuff to be done.
