That is the mechanism which transports waste toner out of the drums and developers to the waste container, and the grinding issue you have is very common with this machine. I think they probably all get it eventually, after a while, except VERY light usage machines.

The whole assembly you need to replace is called the "Direct Pipe Assembly" and the part number is 049K19960 and the price is typically around $120-ish. Unfortunately, removing and replacing the assembly is a bit of a pain, just follow the directions in the EDOC carefully.

Once it starts grinding, one of the gears gets "worn down" and becomes too smooth and then it basically will never work right again. One of your images is not coming through, so I can't see which gears you replaced, but obviously it is not the one which is now too smooth to work.

Although somebody MAY make a replacement gear for the gear which is ruined by the grinding, but you still have to remove the assembly. So if you've removed the assembly ANYway, you might as well put a whole new one in since they aren't very expensive and then all parts will be new.

When you have the assembly out, make sure to vacuum out the small tubes which feed INTO the assembly from the drums and developers, in case there is any impacted toner in them. You don't want your new assembly to get impacted right away.

    Good luck!

    K
