    Workcentre 7120 1.9mm banding

Hello, All - My WorkCentre 7120 is experiencing consistent 1.9mm banding in all colors. I have a copy of the service manual and this is a known issue (IQ 39). It recommends changing out the dispenser drive gear assembly if the banding is happening in all colors. By the way, that baby is buried in there - took me quite a while but I swapped the part out with no issue. Unfortunately the banding did not change at all. Pictures are attached, along with a pic of the part I swapped out.

If anybody has had similar issues with a fix, it would be greatly appreciated - I have print jobs waiting and this banding is really holding me up.

Other info: plenty of drum life on all colors, plenty of toner. All genuine xerox supplies.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the tips. The fuser assembly is new. I removed the IBT assembly and took it apart and cleaned everything, but that didn't change anything. Banding looks exactly the same. So I ordered a new IBT assembly - should be here on Wednesday or Thursday. The other thought I had was getting a 1200 watt power conditioner to make sure the machine is not starving for power. The banding almost looks like even fluctuations in either the main laser unit or the fuser, and if the machine isn't getting enough steady voltage this might be the result.

Some updates for my ongoing banding issue. New 1200W power conditioner didn't change anything. But it's nice to know that the power is clean. I also received a new transfer belt assembly, which ultimately did not fix the issue - banding is still exactly the same.

I'm getting a little frustrated at the service manual - it's probably my lack of expertise/experience, but it seems like it uses different terms for various assemblies, parts, etc. For example: it specifically says my banding issues are caused "by the vibration of the Mag. Roll caused by the engagement of the Developer Unit driving gears." I've been all through the parts lists and diagrams and can't find the Mag. Roll (which I assume is short for magnetic roller). I also am confused as to what the "Developer Unit" is.

If anybody can shed some light on this I'd appreciate it. See service manual page attachment.

Developing unit is a part of drum unit. It is not separated from drum assy in wc7120.
