    Versant Color Registration

I've been having trouble with a Versant 2100 and color registration. The colors are not lining up properly. You can see it most clearly when you do a Density Uniformity Adjustment, the colors do not line up on the edge. All the text has a blurry/ghosted look to it because the colors are not printing in-line with each other. What can I do to address and fix this? 1st BTR Rollers? See attached image.

    Re: Versant Color Registration

I'm currently on holiday at the moment, so I do not have access to a machine to run tests on. So forgive the potential inaccuracy's of this information.
I believe the operator cannot change registration settings as this a automated setup. I think the registration settings in service rep menu is for the page alignment not colour registration.
Some of the most common causes are:
    - Dusty fuser encoder sensors (try carefully vacuuming the assembly and running tests, do not use an air line).
    - Dirty MOB sensor window and / or laser windows.
    - 2 BTR units (Rare, but sometimes that's been the cause)
My guess is to check the MOB / ATC assembly.
Sorry I can't be more specific as its all from memory. Hope this helps.
There's the tool the works, Then there's the tool that is Right!

I cleaned the mob sensors, 2 BTR is pretty much brand new. I was wondering if it was the 1st BTRs since there is one for each color. I haven't tried cleaning the fuser encoders but it seems the problem is before the fuser since the colors are laying down out of line.

I can only recommend the obvious at the moment I'm afraid. Reseating the imaging drums (Check lifespan etc). I have found loose connection on the 2nd BTR to be an issue in the past (But this usually flags up a machine error) Try rotating the BTR to see if it's stiff. Increased friction on these parts (even when new) can cause issues. Check for friction issues with the fuser, like pinched rollers. Sometimes they're set too tight from factory.
Sorry I can't be of more help.

What is the result if you ran regicon?

Try to clean ibt encoder sensor, usually there are 2 sensors on it. Last solution is do IOT1 initialization then ran belt edge, regicon etc. Make sure you backup nvm incase you need it. Cheers
