First, you can't reprogram the crum. Xerox has a rebuild kit for the fusers that come with a new crum.
To do proper service on these machines you need what is known as a PWS loaded laptop. This is xerox software running on the laptop with electronic documentation and diagnostics to maintain various xerox equipment.
