    Xerox C400 Strange issue

    Hello,
    I have a Xerox c400. Today I noticed the color were off even though the toners were reporting with some capacity. After running from print tests I noticed it's the Magenta, therefore I switch to another compatible magenta. Same issues. I then cleaned it all out and emptied the waste toner out. Now when I start the machine I get an error 092-319 asking me to reseat the cartridge and reboot. No matter what I do I get this, I tried other compatibles (that's all I have) I still get this. I tried to change the chip on the cartridge, I still get this. I tried an OEM (empty) I did not get this message but I got a warning claiming it's empty.

    I then put the compatible chip on the OEM and got the 092-319 error. I tried the OEM chip on the compatible and I got the error that the cartridge is empty.


    Does Xerox prevent compatibles to work after failed attempts? Would anyone know a work around to get this going?

    Normally the image unit isnt getting enough toner so the patch it makes is too light.

    Best to replace the M image unit and the toner together. You can force magenta toner through component control but usually after a few prints error will return.

      Might need a Magenta Dispener unit.Lots of work to replace.The last time I had this the customer was using compatible toner.They didnt save much money after the bill came for the repair work.
