    AltaLink C8045 - DADF error when duplex scanning/printing

    When scanning/copying two-sided pages, the DADF automatically stops feeding after the first page, and the screen reads, "The Scanner is attempting to recover." No useful information on the notification panel on the admin screen.
    I have no issue scanning single-sided pages through the DADF. The firmware is up to date; the rollers have been replaced; connections have been checked.

    I am contemplating ordering a new DADF. But before I do that, any advice would be appreciated.

    Probably problem with CIS sensor for side two of the original document.
    Machine must show error code something like 366-xxx.

      The only error that is recorded is: "Scanner recovery in progress. No user intervention is required; please wait. Copy and Scan services will be delayed temporarily; Print and other machine services are unaffected. (Skill Level: No Intervention Required, Status Code: 03-557-00)"

        Ive had this before, turned out to be the CIS in the DADF

          Thanks all for the advice. I'll try replacing the CIS to see if it solves the problem.
