I have an issue with my c70, i noticed this for a while and since its got worse, there is a terrible grinding noise coming from what seems to be the main drive assembly... now it wont run at all, upon start up when the main drive engages it makes a grinding noise then i get the fault code, 094-322... it started off not as loud and would happen infrequently and still ran fine (i guess i should have caught this sooner), any suggestions?

Just got this thanks! i first replaced the cam clutch that is a part of the main drive since that was the cheapest part, the service manual says if there is a noise heard, check or replace the cam clutch but that didnt work, so now i am waiting on a new 2nd btr assemblyComment

i also rotated the bypass retracting mechanism at the wheel at the front of the cabinet and it did react a little differently depending on where it started at, if that makes since.. sometimes it would just grind as long as the main drive was spinning but if i start at a point where there is no tension on the retacting mechanism, there is a second or so where the main drive spins and it doesn't grind.Comment

yes i will keep it, unfortunately now i have another problem im having trouble figuring out.. after replacing the 2nd btr, i now have low toner density for every color across the whole page and there are no fault codes...
Following the low density rap, i performed max setup, then i printed test pattern 12, opened the door while it was printing and checked the ibt belt then verified that there was a good image on the transfer belt. the service manual says the problem can be either first the 2nd btr or the transferbelt.... am i missing something? its a brand new oem 2nd btr so i dont understand what would be wrong with it...Comment

yes i checked that as well, i tried that again though, i removed then reinstalled it again and that unfortunately didn't solve anything.Comment

the old btr has a gear grinding problem and is not fixed yet and will immediately give me a fault once the printer starts up... all i know is that its griding toward the back of the machine where it engages with the main drive... im thinking about tomorrow, first replacing the ibt belt since i already have one just to make sure that isnt the problem and after that maybe its a good idea to see if i can find anything wrong with the old btr.... visually the btr looks fine and the gears dont grind when i spin the cam or the 2nd transfer roller, but grinds in the machine for some reason....
one other thing i didnt think about becuase i didnt know it was a problem was that i opened the drawer that contains the 2nd btr when the cam was contrated. i didnt suspect anything to be wrong with the 2nd btr at the time and didnt check the indicator before opening, i didnt hear anything break though so i dont know if that caused any problems or not...Comment
