    Xerox 700i drum marks scratch

Last week I had an issue with black, ended up lifting the top of the machine and cleaning the ROS, the black is now printing fine.

Now I have a problem with the magenta image streaking .. changed the toner and drum, still streaked so put in a new dev unit. Surely it can't be the ROS as it was cleaned very well when doing the black.

Cleaned the drum as it is a new drum .. no difference, put in a brand new drum and still has the marks on the magenta.

Now, I'm getting scratch right along the cyan .. again, have changed the drum and still got the scratch .. changed the dev and put in another drum .. still have the scratch mark. Doesn't seem to be any scratch on the cyan drum at all.

Yellow is now getting a mark as well, similar to the magenta.

    Black is great

    Any ideas please?

    Hi

Your wiper blade is dirty. Clean wiper blade with IPA. Use toner powder for lubricant and it will work.

Good day following this thread as I do have these kind of issues show up. So u can use a bit of toner as lubricant while using the alcohol, cool trick.

IPA for Wiper blade, after evaporate, use toner powder for lubricant for OPC. Toner powder need to be without carrier. I am not sure what Xerox recommend... but toner powder will work fine.

Thank you ... good advice, will get some IPA and try it out. Just cleaning the wiper didn't help at all.

Clean ROS window once again, if there is no change, clean mirror inside the ROS.
If the marks are caused by the wiper blade they will not be white.

I replaced the magenta dev unit and drum and the problem went away. I did change drums first ... the problem stayed on the magenta, it was the new developer unit I installed, must have been a bad one.
The scratch on the cyan .. what a pain in the arse that was .. changed everything, cleaned everything .. then I changed the developer / drum unit draw with one out of a 5580 .. scratch was fixed. So took out all the devs and drums and there was toner on the black panel UNDER the cyan drum .. which was causing the scratch.

OMG, was so frustrating, but finally found it.

Now I am getting toner dispenser motor errors and the toner is filling up the shoot .. even after changing the toner density motor.
