You can clean the roller and you should be good if it's not damaged of course. You need disassemble ibt unit.

Hello Jack79 and thanks for your reply,

Could you please tell me where is the ibt unit ?
I have just downloaded the operation manual of the 7800 series but I'm a little confused between terms : does the ibt unit correspond to the ibt belt ?

which rollers are concerned on the following diagram ?

              thanks for you help

IBT unit I mean primary transfer belt unit. You need to remove fuser, locking lever behind the front door, itb cleaning unit, open left door to the service position, remove 2 brackets (if I good remember) and then slide the itb out. The roller which need to be cleaned is located under the belt (inside the belt unit) so you need to remove ibt sleeve (disassemble ibt unit). If you are not familiar with this you must be very careful to not damage the belt surface.

Clean all rollers inside the IBT ASSY...

most of the time, the IBT sides rubber becomes sticky and pieces of the rubber stick inside the IBT or rollers.

if the sides rubber already destroyed, then change the whole IBT belt.

This is a transfer belt roller issue. There is debris or toner built up on the inner ITB rollers causing a ripple/fold/bend on the belt. If you can't get/afford a new ITB unit remove the belt, scour and wipe the ITB rollers with a clean dry cloth, you can use a little alcohol if needed on the metal rollers. If the buckles are to distinguishable on the belt unit replace the belt.
