      The usb port can be close.
      If it is open you can try with another hdd or with 073xxxxx version of software.

          Thanks for replying.

          I tried a 073.xxx.xxx version of the software. Same result.

          If the USB port were closed how would you go about re-opening it if you
          can't get to the Bios screen to change it?

              If the usb port is blocked, you have to use a new SD card as this unlocks the usb.
