    Xerox Work Centre 7220i

    Hi
    I am sitting on the Fence with this problem with a Xerox Work Centre 7220i, The customer's old IT company changed the admin password and the New IT company doesn't know it. I have done firmware update using Forced Upgrade, this didn't work. I have tried all the numbers that i could think of, still no luck. The serial number did not work either. Is there anyway to get the machine back to factory settings as need to reconfigure the scan to folder, can not log into machine via web browser as need password. Any Help would be much appreciated as hate to see good machines being dumped over small issues.

      Must know machine serial number and total impressions counter for generate the reset code.

        You need the Xerox Admin Password Reset Tool then enter the serial# and total impressions and it will generate a code you will need to login as Admin and enter that code then the password will reset back to Xerox default 1111

            If you are unable to get the password reset tool, I would back up NVM's and save to usb, backup address book, get a clone, print a config page, make note of what apps you see on the display, set up another altboot folder, use the forced upgrade text but also add disable data backup text in the folder (you have to do type the text in the right format). this will start you out with a clean slate but as long as you backed up your clone etc, just install the clone back in, address book etc and you should be good. That wipes out the unknown password. You might have to put the ip back in manually but all thats on the config page
