    WorkCentre 7225i Will not boot

    Hi, all. I have a potential customer that cannot get their 7225i to boot. This happened after a weather event in their area. The machine will boot to a smart energy screen, and the help light blinks slowly green. The numeric indicator by the ethernet port gets stuck on 9, and the screen cuts out, though it is still backlit. All of my experience points to a failed main board, but I thought I should double-check with folks that are more familiar with the Xerox systems(I primarily work on Konica Minolta). Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

    Also I should note that the board is doing some sort of activity because when I disconnect the HDD the number by the ethernet port indicates a 6 which as far as I can tell is correct.

        Check / replace machine hdd, reload machine software.

          I just downloaded the machine software from the Xerox site, but the instructions indicate that in order to install it you would need to run a utility from a pc and push the software over the network. Is there a way to manually install the software directly on the MFP using a thumb drive or anything along those lines? The machine is not booting, and is not communicating over the network.

          Nevermind. I missed the above post and I am looking into altboot now. Thank You.
