noise in a xerox xd100

The noise seems to be coming from the optics as it only sounds during the scan phase, as the mirrors return home there is not any noise. To listen to it you would think it is in the fuser unit but i have taken it down and cleaned and lubed the ceramic bushings.

Double check the optics drive motor and the rails. Both could cause a problem that involves noise. Good Luck.

Look at the fuser gear, does it look like it is in good condition? These have a tendancy to break. Try calling The Parts Drop at 2013877776
