i have a Xerox 7845 with a 305-197( prohibit combine size jam). Happens randomly and mostly with single sheets. Alt-booted and factory reset no change. I have also replaced the DADF board(no change) complete DADF assembly(no change) i have replaced IIT trans power board and the Pyxis power board both with no change. Anyone ever had this issue? Next steps would be MCU i guess?

Replacing the DH would eliminate any suggestion I would offer except if it had the same defect which could be a loose top cover latch. Try putting alittle pressure on the top cover. A ream of paper usually works. A plastic bracket is easily made to tighten it up. Fault usually occurs last sheet or first sheet because of the slop in the latch. -

Open this part below the dadf latch. 4 screws holding it down.

does the foam pad turns bad to gooey stuff or deformed?

if so, cut 3m vhb / foam double sided tape into small pieces to replace the foam pad.

I tried scraping all the foam pad (using no foam pad), ADF will not run smoothly.
