7845 auto rotate and auto reduce from USB

Unable to do this procedure. Customer needs to print odd size originals from usb, some larger than 8.5 x 11. They need to be reduced and correctly oriented. Customer says his 7545 at another location will do this (unverified, but he is credible). Tray 1 (8.5 x 11) selected, auto rotate and auto reduce selected in tools. Any ideas? TIA

try this:

enter CE mode, pass 6789.

System settings > Print service settings > other settings
no2. substitute tray = use closest size
no3. paper type mismatch = print
