Xerox 6204 Wide Format - Problem with printing long drawing

Hello everyone.

I am solving problem on Xerox 6204 (year of production 2006), which is in use with Windows 10 x64.

If I print some drawing longer, than approximately 1500 mm (= cca 60 inches), printer wont print remaining content, but in will cut the paper correctly.

The print preview on the computer also displays error message, that the preview cannot be displayed.
When can the error be? I use the printer as LAN connection without the controller.

Change the print resolution from 600dpi to 300dpi

Thank for your reply. Unfortunately this tip did not help. The printer in user manual declares, that it is capable of printing a drawing on paper up to 15 meters long.

Yes up to 15m with additional 2gb memory

Thank for your reply. Unfortunately this tip did not help. The printer in user manual declares, that it is capable of printing a drawing on paper up to 15 meters long.

Check on printer configuration report what is the size of the controller ram memory.

If it will possible with 2BG print 15 meters long, than it will be possible to print minimum 7 meters with 1 GB RAM.

Not realy. You have 1280 MB of ram that is used by both copy and printer modes. This must let you to copy 15 m long or print 15 m long. On machine controller ( basic print server named ) are two slots for ram memory. One slot is with 256 MB ram and it is the low spec for copier only and on second slot you can have 512 or 1024 MB ram memory for copier/printer/scanner. So you have the max specifications. I dont know if it works to put 2048 Ram into slot 2 or 512-1024 into slot 1 to increase the amount of memory.
Probably the software driver you use to print from Win10 makes larger file than driver for Win7. You can try to print the 15 m long document from Win7 PC and see if that works.

Thank you for tip, I will try it check from other computer.

Alrthough now I find the product brochure, which claim, taht memory 1,25 GB is enough for 15 m print. See it in attachment.
