Workcentre EC7836 Stuck in Boot Loop

Hi everyone, we are new to Xerox brand. Trained copier technicians with 90% exposure to Ricoh Products. Our company is an ASP, can show proof if required. Personally received training on the C8145 Altalink Series and Online training on the 7836/7856.

Customer situation is that they have an EC 7836 that is in a continual bootloop. We get the green screen with the message Please Wait. The system is powering upDo not press the power switch while powerup is in progress.

It never even gets to the energy saver/progress bar screen. As per Prolibro manual I was able to get the software reinstalled by Altboot via usb port at the front. The software installs completely and asks me to remove the USB and Press 0.

The condition of the machine does not change, stuck in the same bootloop. The code screen in the back of the machine displays a u. I believe it can be the controller or Hard Disk. I tried a completely formatted Hard Disk as well with no difference. Removed the back cover and also checked the LED one by one on the controller. All seem to be following protocol.

Open to any other suggestions. Is a forced altboot for these machines with a special cable possible? Also the Controller board is almost $2000. If I was able to procure a used working one, would the machine accept it?

    Thank you in advance.
