    Xerox C60 Fiery EX-i 5PB (E300)

    Hello together,
I have here an integrated Fiery for a Xerox C60/C70 which shows the LED code "4f" while trying to boot. Then nothing happens. Does someone know what this means? Can't find information about this code elsewhere.

    Thank you!

Tried to reload software but when I switch the device on software is not loaded from USB but code "4F" appears again. Do you know what the code means?

Remove bios battery for some time. Then try to power on.

Remove memory from slot and power on fiery.
        Fiery should beeps.
If not then your problem is with motherboard or processor.
For E300 fiery software must be v2.0 or v2.1

Thanks for your advice! Did that but didn't change anything. Still code "4F". Also reseated CPU.
When i remove DIMM memory then I get code "55".
Tried software installation with 2 different USB sticks and USB helper tool and software from Xerox site.

For e300 fiery you need v2.0 or v2.1 software.
You need system software and user software dvd's

Yes, I did with V2.1 (should work or?) and included server as well as user files.

                Yes 2.1 should work.
If USB upgrade do not start then motherboard is next step

4f error code = in the most of situations mean defective RAM.

Well for sure is a hardware problem , try this take out the hard drive and check how it behaves later do the same with the interface board and see how it behave or error codes changes . Check for PS voltages as well any popped cap on the mother board specially on the CPU , memory areas ,maybe possible a faulty CPU (error 4E ) or motherboard (error 69 ).

                    Hope this help ,
