    Xerox Color 550 560 570 - question about SRA3 autoduplex

    Hello!

    My first post here

I am a self-trained technician... oh no I can hear you all thinking! Well, I have trained myself to service my own Xerox Color 570 and have been doing so fo the past several years. It runs like a charm and I keep up with the maintenance etc. I got no interest from any local Xerox houses in maintaining it and as it gets older, I get even less interest...

So I have a simple question for someone who perhaps has the service manual info. I came across this document here:

and wonder if someone can advise me on this line, taken from that PDF:

A service call may be required to enable 170gsm SRA3 autoduplex.
Is this an NVM value that I need to change in technician mode, or will I find it buried in a menu somewhere, or is it a kit that has to be physically installed?

I have always just manually duplexed this size/weight, but happened to find that PDF the other day and it got me wondering...

So if anyone is willing to spend two minutes to help out, that would be great, thank you!

If you set paper as Heavyweight 1 (106-176gsm) you can print autoduplex SRA3.
    For HW2, HW3, coated1,2,3 SRA3 autoduplex is not enabled.
There is some NVM changes but do not suggest you to print paper heavier then 170gsm in autoduplex

Thank you very much for your time and your reply!

I am wondering if you would be willing to share the NVM changes that can be made for this as I would like to experiment? If you are not able to I understand

What is your machine software level?

          System is 55.40.61.

Let me know if that's not what you meant

Would the NVM changes be something you could share for this system software?

            Thanks!

And what values do we have to change?

I don't know I'm afraid, no one with any info ever responded to my last query.
