Hi to all friends
Finally, I managed to identify some of the hard partitions of the Altalink device, which do not play a role in recovering the hard drives that encounter the message UNABLE TO DECRYPT DLM.PERFORM SPECIAL ALTBOOT problem, and I was able to delete some of them and create an image file of the hard drive with a small volume, which can also be uploaded. It is easy for me to do it and for you friends to download it.

does any of the xerox technician friends know how to use the two files "swup.usb"&"swup.8045-55"?
should they be put in the altboot folder or is there another instruction, should the hard drive be formatted or
not partitioned?

swup.usd is different for low, mid and high class of machine.

Those of you who have more information in this field, do you know that the file SWUP_USB.8045-55 can be renamed and used for another device? Of course, I was able to open the file with notepad and read its contents, and I changed the 8045-55 option to 8030-35 and saved the file whith SWUP_USB.8030-35 name. I had a question from you, is this method correct and can it be done in practice?

you can restore hdd and sd card images to your hdd and sd cards or make backup from hdd and sd cards

Correctemundo. I have the Special Altboot for the C8070. It consists of a 'swup_usb' file (83 kb) and a 'swup_usb.C8070' file (zero kb). I'm wondering if I could rename the latter to make it work for the C8030/35 and C8045/55 as well, since the file itself is empty.

yes you can open that file "swuo_usb.c8070"in notepad and edit all c8070 to c8030-35 and save as the file which swup_usb.C8030-35 name also you can reedit file source to C8045-55 and save as the file by swuo_usb.C8045-55
