[Misc] Xerox Versalink B405 freeze on start logo

    Hello everybody!

I have one VersaLink B405 which freezes right after switching on and the Xerox logo appears. And it stays like this for hours (on the logo screen).
Does anyone have a clue what can cause the problem?

    Thanks in advance!

hi i found this online for a b605 it may work for you.

Powering it on results in the Xerox splash screen and nothing else. I have been able to boot it into the alternate boot by holding Power + Home buttons. to do a firmware update if you need the firmware - pm me .

hope this helps in any way

I would start with firmware; you can get it from a public. site:

Drivers & Downloads - VersaLink B405 Multifunction Printer - Xerox

      Change the category to firmware.

Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

Your machine is completely dead. Do not order anything. An emergency firmware came out 3 years ago for this. You should have updated all your fleet by now. Please update your fleet and throw this one away.

To be clear, the firmware came out to PREVENT this, not fix it
