Does the Fiery show 'Warming Up' or 'System Loading'?

If it is System Loading, then you will probably have to re-install the operating system or replace the HDD and reload the operating system.

Hopefully someone will back me up on this as I don't know Xerox's, but I do know Fiery controllers.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

Its showing on the fiery little window>>Warming up<< when a job is sent. It will print a test page from the fiery and other workstations, but not a job. The history on this unit was the hdd went down and I was called in(not a copier tech but computer tech) and got a hdd and the ghost image that the customer had(disk 1/2) with very little config on my part. It just worked. Anyway in a week to two weeks the problems began. Just trouble with getting to a print a job.The customer after waiting for a job to print just showed on the fiery>>warming up<<. They would just COLD start the fiery many times(not a good thing).I came back and re-loaded the software again and still>>warming up<<. Thanks

try doing a clean boot install with Fiery installation CD ,without clone.
a machine is only as good as your tech : source:screwtape ; the scary one

if you have system software version 1.5 try to download composite patch from xerox web site and to install it.

before was one patch for that issue, but it is not anymore on xerox site.

Xcopytech, The x12 software is a image(disk 1/2). How can i tell what updates already exists? do i get a monitor, keyboard, mouse and plug it into the x12? Get into NT operating system? I have done that and it just shows a blue screen with the typcial NT info before going to the NT login.I found the patches for x12 on xerox. How then do i put the updates on the x12? Thanks

when fiery come to idle should be there which version is installed.

                      for example 1.1 or 1.5.

go to machine tools mode and then to machine timers and check which value you have there.

you can write that values and post it here.

maybe timers are set for cobra (dccs50) and that could make problem as you have.

Think that timer are your problem
                              Set it like this

                              Job complete timeout 1 sec
Job program incomplete timer 30 sec
Network controller job timeout 0 (disabled)
Network controller complete timer 0 (disabled)
