I have cured the heater problem but don't know how to reset the u9 code.........any ideas?

yes it does illuminate.

u9-3 (is exposure lamp&Ac driver pwb) also optical fuse

check the above mentioned parts always the mentioned parts cause U9 codes check these parts also if they are ok use simlation mode To Reset as press hold zero button while powering on the mahine enter 20-3 then press 0 enter power off&on
