    Docucolour 5000 colour registraion out

The colours are not registering on top of each other, and the image is shrinking on the page it looks like the 2nd BTR is slowing the paper down.
The thicker the stock the worse it is. Some times the image is 20mm short.

How about the 2ndBtr drive is it ok? If the drive is not OK the 2ndbtr can "shake" the IBT while colors are exposing and shrink thhe image. More info of what you have done will be very usefull.

I have replaced 2nd btr and 2nd Btr drive. I have also cleaned the transfer belt drive roller. It improved a little but always comes back with shrinking image. The fault has been looked at by all the product specialist but no one has an answer.

What are the results of DC681, DC683, DC 685? Did you check the IBT drive? Did you check the image on the IBT?
If there was an improvement with cleaning the drive roller try changing it try changing the belt. What is the print count of the machine? If the IBT movement is not constant then for sure your color's won't be on top of each other and a shrinking can appear. Is there only one color that is wrong?

            Hi,
i read all your conversation. First of all you need to confirm is it hardware problem or softwaree. can you check that is image on the ibt ar ok before transfer. you can check that to stop the paper before 2nd btr.
Did you run color registration setup ?
belt edge sensor setup ? dc956

troubleshoot the registration, that's hardware troubleshooting.this is part of eliminating mechanical or electronics control.make a few copies on long media eg. A3 check the pattern,on the few successful copies you can determined the cause.it's that simple .BTW we have created an A3 media as test chart for determining this slowing of the paper and seems like second btr is slowing it down, always check the nvm values to setting list provided that's setting list troubleshooting, never meddle the firmware is less likely to cause this error.do this process never updated new version without authentication from the proper.if it fail; with thicker media don't forget this method.always troubleshoot mechanical and check nvm setting list before firmware.cheers
