installation of scanning services xerox 238

does anybody know how to intall scanner services for a workcentre pro 238 in a lan for win xp ? thank you

there are so many ways to install the scanner on dc238. you can install through FTP server or you can install thorugh file reposrty set up.
first of all very easy way is make a share folder on a work station in any drive. give its full permission on netwrok.mean any body can access this folder on network.

now brows the machine through web browser. go in to property tab , service, network scanning , select the default file repostory, click on edit button in file repostory tab.
select SMB in the server type , enter the ip of workstation where you make share folder earlier, then just fill share as and enter the share folder name. leave the blank next colum then enter user name and password of workstation.
file repostry will be refresh through genral tab.

Try to add scanner from Control Panel and install the Xerox Network Scanner.After that from scanners and cameras get in Properties for Xerox network scanner and in device settings set the IP address of the machine
