Speaking of which, which would be the best native W7 Xerox driver for use with an old Workcentre 215?

If there isn't a Windows 7 driver then try using a Windows Vista driver, it should work fine until a Windows 7 driver is released, but seeing as the Fuji Xerox Document Centre C400 (I presume it is as you wrote DCC400) is an older machine, maybe not.

I don't know if the Xerox Corp global driver would work with this machine correctly, as this is a Fuji Xerox device.

An absolute last resort if there isn't a Vista driver is to try a Windows XP driver, but you most likely will get issues.
