    Xerox 7235 error message 116-399

    Hi Everyone,

    I have a Xerox 7235 which has the following error code: 116-399

    I can't really figure out what the problem is but wat I can tell is that it takes about 10 minutes before the error code pops up in the left bottom corner of the screen.

    The solution supplied in the EDOC doens't really help me out too.

    It takes a long while( read 5 minutes) before half of the status bar is filled.

    Has anyone got a solution for this problem?

    Problem:


    On start up the machine displays the progress bar for about 15 minutes and then a code 116-399 displays.
    Note! The RAP for this code does not give good direction to resolve problem.


    Cause:


    The IIT/IPS and /or the DADF PWB are faulty and so the controller was waiting for a reply. The 116-399 is a code that appears after a period of inactivity. When I disconnected the scanner the machine booted up OK with the scanning and copy option disabled.
    The machine can also be booted with the DADF unplugged, if the machine now boots up ok the DADF PWB is defective.



    Solution:


    Replace the IIT/IPS PWB and/or the DADF PWB.
