scanning on an m20i

odoes the m20i support pdf scanning? customer states it is currently scanning in opd format.

yes, you can scan to pdf.

Your customer may be scanning directly from OmniPage. Ask them to use Paperport. They should be able to see several options (including output file type) in the scan settings. If not they may be selecting the wrong scanner or have the wrong scan driver installed.

I believe OmniPage will also let you choose output type, but file manipulation is easier in Paperport.
