Please check if you are using correct printer driver. Cobra I is developed by Splash Technologies and Cobra II is from EFI. Printer drivers are not compatible to each other. If you are able to get one print and then cobra is going offline OR controller disabled, then it could be priver problem.
Check NVM location 752-008.For Copier/Printer should be 1 and for Copier/Printer/Scanner should be 2.
There is also another NVM location you must set for Cobra, but I can't remember what it was.If I found it I'll post here
This is older post but I said that I'll post some NVM settings for dc12/dccs50
759-053 set to 1
752-008 set to 1
799-004 set to 0 for dccs50 and 1 for dc12
Uh! those cobras kick like a Cobra. Well first ther are to type first serial start with an M (software level 1.54 and 1.74)and have 5 leds on the side ,the second type start with G (software level 3.0 and 3.2)and have 6 leds on the side . Be carefull software CD are not interchangable you can kill the motherboard so verify you have the right software for the right serial our you may be in trouble. By the way have and oldy cd rom in hand most of the problem installing software are the cd rom readers dead or faulty is my experience just in case.
