Xerox 7235 with error code 016-214 missing fax probably

Hi everyone,

I have a Xerox 7235 here with error code 016-214.
I guess this is because i took the fax controller of since i don't use it and it is defect.

Wich NVM value do i have to change in the machine to get this error away?

I believe it is in Administrator functions. Disable fax icon and all related information then reboot.

Problem:

1. Server Fax can't be installed, machine doesn't accept Software Key
2. Error 16-214 after entering the Software Key and rebooting the machine

Cause:

1. Machine Firmware is 1.220.2 or 1.220.3 ; Server Fax has been introduced in May 2007 and is implemented in firmware 1.221.7 and higher
2. Scanning Kit is not installed

This applies to WorkCentre 7228 7235 7245 (XE Only)


Requirements for Server Fax:

• Firmware has to be 1.221.7 or higher ; due to some bugs it's recommend to use 1.221.8 instead of 1.221.7 (see Eureka Doc. #: 611339)
• Scanning Kit (Network Scanning) has to be installed

Note: The FAX or Internet Fax (iFAX) features and the Server Fax feature are mutually exclusive. If Server Fax is enabled, even if the machine is equipped with an internal fax board, scanning to the internal FAX will be disabled. While the Server Fax feature is enabled, the iFAX service will also be disabled. Also note that Mailbox to FAX (a Job Flow Sheet destination) and Direct Fax (LAN Fax) are not supported when Server Fax is enabled. You can use Internet Services, however, to select which Fax Service to enable, as described in this section.
