    Xerox color DC 250 - cannot reset error

    Hi all,

    I have a DC 250 that recently was showing 042-326 error, we have carried out what should be required to fix this issue but i cannot reset the error. I have tried the reset procedure by holding down the 0 key for 5 secs then pressing enter, this gets me into the logon screen which i then enter 6789 but when i hit confirm it freezes up and i have to power off the printer again.

    Anyone got any ideas on why this might be happening, It was able to reset the error code before i serviced the printer but now it just freezes everytime.

    Is there anyway of resetting back to factory default?

    Update:

    Apparently the machine is locked out and can only be released by the diagnosis software tools which are installed and connected to via a laptop. Anyone know of the tools?

    This is Belt home position too long, try to reset NVM location 741-105 to 0.If this not clear, after that check that the transfer belt is in the center or perform belt edge learn cycle

      do you update any firmware recently?if do,pls set 740-019 =2 then power off machine ,wait 2 minutes and power the machine back on.

        Doc 250 IBT REP 9.3 instructions

        We need to replace an IBT belt on a Doc 250 and if anyone has the instructions I would really appreciate it. My tech won't touch it without them.
