    Xerox 5028 - L6 Error

    Hi folks,

I was referred here because I was told you might be able to help me...

I have an old Xerox 5028 copier that is being frustrating... It is displaying an L6 error that will not clear and will not allow the copier to operate. I know that L6 means a key counter error has occurred. The copiers used to have key counters but do not anymore.

Is there a way to clear this error?

If memory serves there were two types of those used.
One had a small pcb under the left front cover with dip switches and the other was a hard wired jumper in the back right corner.
The pcb is as simple as flipping the dip switch that turns it on and off. I don't remember which one, it has been three years since I saw one. For the other it is simply reconnecting the wire.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!
