    124-314 on DC-252

Can someone pls help out on code 124-314 on DC-252. It started out as 124-315 after replacing the MCU, but its now 124-315. Please respond if you know the solution. If anyone out there has the manual, i 'll appreciate it too.

Probably you will have to do GP4 (Synchronisation of serial numbers). Enter dc131. Check the values at the following chain link codes: 700-600,700-601 and 700-602.Are these values different ?If not enter in ui diagnostic mode, select Adjustment/others, select machine id and select pwb with correct data and press start, enter the correct serial number in screen Serial Number and select confirm.

thanks goshe, i already did the serial no synchronization as you explained, but the result was to replace the 124-315 code with 124-314.... any further idea?

I think I have bad news for you:
This is taken from eureka tip.

124-314 fault code after replacing the MCU PWB Problem:

Fault code 124-314 fault code after replacing the MCU PWB and Serial Number Synchronize fails.

        Cause:

The wrong MCU PWB was installed (DC260 MCU PWB was installed in a DC240/242/250/252 or a DC240/242/250/252 MCU PWB was installed in a DC260). Check NVM location 700-057. If current value is "0" continue to solution, if not reinstall old MCU PWB and order correct one.

        Solution:

There is NO WAY to recover from this fault in the field!

If the wrong MCU PWB was installed in the machine, fault code 124-315 will be declared. If the Serial Number Synchronization Procedure (GP 4) is run two times, the machine will be locked up in a 124-314 condition and the only way to recover without replacing the machine is to call Field Engineering to open a log indicating which machine it is (DC240/242/250/252/260), then send the original (or correct - new) MCU PWB, MCU NVM PWB (PL 11.1, items 12 & 14) and Control Housing Assembly (PL 11.5, item 1) to Field Engineering.

Also send a copy of the NVM SETTING VALUE LIST that is in tray 1.

The Program Team will synchronize the serial number and speed then return the PWB's.

Try with DC301, try with other MCU, but as far as I know if you try swapping many MCU's bad things start to happen. Did you transfer the NVM pwb also?

This is quite helpful, thanks Kalindd. Well, 700-057 is currently 2, I guess I'm still quite lucky and will not need to "continue to solution". I guess I can simply get the right board to get the machine working again??

              Take a look here.

I'm not sure which one you will need. All I know is , Tag 14 is golden plated ribbon cables.
So please see which type you have installed, the ends of the cables are either gold finished (tag14) or silver finished( no tag). So you will know which one you have.
              Then order the correct one.
What was the "original" error that led you to change the MCU?

                  124-314 RAP
                  Description
DC 132-01 - IOT Speed Failure

                  Procedure
Switch the power off, then on. If the problem still exists, perform GP 4. If the problem continues, replace the ESS PWB ( PL 11.5) before replacing the MCU PWB ( PL 11.1).

I copied directly from service manual
