One of my techs is working on this MFP and we are both perplexed and don't know what to do. The MFP says that it is ready to copy but if you try to copy, print, or fax nothing will happen. The print queue shows all the print jobs that need to be printed but will not print out. When you try to fax out it accepts the fax number but then does nothing. Tried to take off fax option to see if it would make any difference but no change. The customer said that the MFP will reboot by itself often. Tried to look up any error codes but machine does not show any?

possible defective HDIF PWB, unplug it and see if you can make a copy. Another possibilty is a faulty LVPS. -
It was the HDIF PWB. I removed it and everything started work properly. Just what does the HDIF pwb do? It looks likes it would control one of the hard drives but i am not sure what accessory uses that particular hard drive.Comment
