Are you trying to connect thru the network or directly on the fiery? Does the Fiery have a monitor and keyboard?

If the server has Monitor and keyboard support, Start the CWS, before you log in to the CWS remove the server name then try to add it back. See if it will automatically detect if not , go to manual add and use "localhost" as the server name but only try to connect when the server says idle at the top of the screen.

ip 127.0.0.1 is for "local host", you pinging your computer ....
try to change fiery ip to your LAN ip range.
exmple: if you computer ip is 192.168.0.2, set up fiery ip to 192.168.0.x (x=3-254)
