    Password help Xerox 7665

    Hello,
    I have a Xerox 7665 and I need to reset the log in password to access network set up tools
    I have tried the " admin" user name and 1111 password but i still get a communication error.
    can anyone tell me how to access the service UI mode on this model so i can reset the admin login ??

    have you tried a reboot and try again you may have tried too many times and gotten locked out

      there are several types of communication error .. "host to host" "firewire" do you have a fault code ?

        The only error i get is "Communication problem" Communication with the authentication system was not successful please contact your sytem administrator.

          Try "admin" as user name and "admin" as the password or 5 ones as the password

            I have tried both, i still get the same message.

            Is there a way to go into service mode to reset ?

              can you get to the web UI ? it may be locked out from there

              Communication Problem,
              Communication with the authentication system was not successful, Your log in cannot be validated at this time,
              contact system administrator for assistance.

              customer puts in a request for password reset , ..... even though they can log in to the Web interface using their password.

              Configured in the web page of the machine for Authentication Remotely on the network
              Change on web page under properties -Security - Authentication to local machine instead of the remotely on the network or Users choice.
