I have strange problem with this one.
When i turn on machine and it gets in ready mode there is no copy counter & serial no, and can't copy when press Start button. When tried to enter diag mode it says there is some job in queue, and should confirm that I agree with deleting that nonexistent job, but never enter into diagnostic....
But when I turn on machine without copy cartridge or with opened duplex cover it comes in ready mode and when press Start button it works & i can enter diagnostic without problem.

I have already replaced UI and IIT/IPS PWB located on scanner assy..

Could it be problem with wiring between this two boards or what????

Did you try to replace the CRU?

Are you familiar with this problem? Have you seen this was happening with bad cartridges. I believe this is not original cartridge,
but i've seen bunch of those working without problem!

I have a xerox DC230 and sometimes gets to me this trick. Resolve it by opened the duplex cover and it works. I use american cartridges with italian chips.

Forgot to post back.
Problem was solved by replacing battery, which i thought first... But unfortunately I replaced UI board with bad one and i didn't measure voltage on battery. There were 0.3V. Now it works fine.

Did you try to reload ESS software?

As I posted before, problem was solved by replacing battery on UI board/
