DC 480 ping erratic

I have 1g network and problems with two DC 480 ST - ping is erratic, usually 25% to 50% loss data packet.
Donkey on the autobahn?
Should I slow down the network?
Other new machines (X700 and Bizhub 5500) have no problems.
